Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. Doody made her acting debut in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as an archaeologist with Nazi sympathies Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody was a model after she was approached. It turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles that was a rule she applied in her acting. She accepted a small part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill after she was noticed by the director of casting. Doody was as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2 as one of 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 when she portrayed Doody in A Prayer for the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. She is the youngest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the television adaptation The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead part. The episode aired in 1988 with John Hurt, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody came back to acting in 2003, playing a small performance as a character in The Actors, a British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards ceremony. In 2004, Doody starred alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody shot a part of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Doody was a guest on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. In 2011 she began the first season of two on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
